CARDIOnet® Program
CARDIOnet Program, Cardiology Education & Information
Program, has been organized as an educational network for
creation and electronic distribution of medical, scientific and
technical information in the field of cardiovascular medicine and
related topics to cardiologists all over the world via Internet.
CARDIOnet Program has the
following objectives:
-
Help practicing cardiologists in
continuous education and offer information on the
state-of-art topics in diagnosis, therapy and various
update procedures in modern cardiology. Cardiologists are
faced with a rapid progress in cardiology, and with an
enormous quantity of relevant information, together with
ever-increasing requirements in their daily medical
routine and needs for complex theoretical and practical
decision making with each new patient.
- Publish summarized information, update
reviews of scientific, medical and technical knowledge in
cardiovascular medicine prepared by leading international
cardiologists. The program will also present important
task force and consensus documents, public statements and
recommendations of cardiology associations and government
health organizations.
- Improve medical practice by promoting
the latest strategies in epidemiological issues,
screening and prevention of risk factors for
atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease and
hypertension, as well as to introduce rational economy
approach and cost/benefit analysis to planning of health
organizations dealing with cardiovascular patients. This
goal will be especially important for cardiologists in
the countries of Central-East Europe with rapid
socio-economic transition, and for developing countries
in South America, Africa and Asia.
- CARDIOnet Program® is
open for public use, with free access for cardiologists
all over the world. It will offer not only up-to-date
information but also an enormous exchange of ideas and
experiences through professional and democratic dialogue
of all participating colleagues.
CARDIOnet Program is located as a public domain on Internet
under address www.cardionet.hr. The following services wil be soon installed,
