Myocardial remodeling in hypertensive patients. The role of converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor blockers in reducing ventricular arrhythmia

Abstract

Myocardial remodeling of the hypertensive patient producing regression of the ventricular mass and preservation of the left ventricular function will be discussed with emphasis on the clinical implication of these mechanisms. Also the possible basic mechanisms of this process will be discussed.
