Conclusions

Non sustained ventricular tachycardia is frequently found in patients with congestive heart failure, although the prevalence of this arrhythmia is somewhat lower than expected if the patients are exposed to the recommended treatments for the underlying heart failure. Frequent VPB, low systolic blood pressure, third heart sound are independent predictors of NSVT. A sistematic follow-up of these patients is currently underway and soon prognostic data will be available.
