Sudden cardiac death (SCD) in young competitive athletes occurs every year and, despite rare and uncummon, is everytime a devastating event. The aim of this study is to analyze the clinical, electrophysiological and pathological data of a large cohort of previously competitive athletes, who succumbed to a SCD or survived a documented arrhythmic cardiac event (CA).
