Abstract

There is increasing evidence that microvolt level TWA measured during tachycardia-dependent exercise stress, provides a powerful non-invasive means of assessing risk of subsequent serious arrhythmic events. TWA may provide a tool for the physician to risk stratify patients at risk of cardiac arrest and sudden cardiac death noninvasively and may be used to identify patients who may benefit from prophylactic ICD.
