Background

The QT dispersion (QTd) analysis in the 12-lead standard ECG presents several methodological problems. We consider that to study the dynamic behaviour of QT dispersion in digital Holter can overcome some of these problems and provide additional dynamic information. As demonstrated previously, the 3 Holter leads can be used for the QT dispersion analysis without loosing significant information. Applying the algorithm developed by our group to different populations, it has been demonstrated the feasibility of this algorithm to the study of the dynamic repolarization parameters.
